Here's the latest shot of our budding family , though you can't see the budding very well since Caleb is covering most of the "bud" .  Sorry .  You'll get a better view as the months roll along toward October when our 4th baby is unveiled (God-willing) .

We love Christmas!

This year's glorious Christmas tree -- providing needed holiday ambiance at home.  Oh , and as always, holiday cheer provided by the lovely and talented Raquel Williams...enjoy.

Launch

I have discovered a valuable experience...well I suppose it's valuable if you cherish the thrill of the roller coaster.  Today's experience of launching 2 children into a new public school (1 for her 1st day of school altogether) was that of an emotional roller coaster , of sorts  ( and still is ) .  Here's the ups: excitement , anticipation , hope, courage , fresh mission & the interdependence of my close little family.  Here's the downs: caution, uncertainty , apprehension , anxiety , change, & maybe strange feelings in between these listed. 
I guess, like any wild ride on a caoster -- today , this morning- I feel like I always do when the rooler coaster jumps to a stop after the last run : a simultaneous surge of energy to launch again and logical & cautious relief that the wild ride is thru.   I can't ever decide if I love the coaster "rush" best while I'm riding it or after the car stops.
Either way , I suppose maturity begs me to try & relax, just calmly sit back , grab the shoulder harness firmly (with both hands)  and carefully decide the most appropriate moment to scream like a child.
I'll try.

Since I last posted

It honestly doesn't seem as long as it really is.  I mean the length of time between my last post and today, this morning.  6 weeks?  Wow. 
Though when I give it some focused thought, a lot has happened since then.  Here are some happenings worth recording:
*Caleb is now soaring on two legs (though at times he wobbles on them in a similar way he would if they were popcicle sticks) and speaking in tongues ( the kind that gives evidence he's been filled with the Toddler Spirit )
*Kaley had her 1st "school friends only" birthday party.  When it was over it appeared there had been 20 little girls at the house, not 5.
*Kaley learned to ice skate with her adult friend Cheryl.  She kinda' "skate-walks" in a way, but with terrific bravado!
*Jala risked her first SLEEPOVER.  Her and her buddy Sophie stayed up (along with their big sisters) talking & giggling 'till 1am.  (oh , please God, let this be the only giggly, talkie, silly sleepoever with girlie friends.  No phones, boys, or teen celebritiy magazines allowed.  Right God?  You can help that?)
I sure would like to post any and all of these little landmarks in the days ahead.  I just don't want to miss it.
